Tom worked for 25 years in logistics and transportation management before changing careers in 1998 to pursue his dream of partnering with people during the healing process following illness or trauma. Following graduation from Rockingham Community College as an Occupational Therapy Assistant, Tom worked at Moses Cone Hospital in the Inpatient Rehab Department. He continues to split his time between Renaissance and Cone Hospital. After attending a John Barnes Myofascial Release Seminar, Tom realized what an immeasurable impact massage and Myofascial Release could have on everyday lives, especially in relieving chronic pain. Again following his heart, Tom graduated from the GTCC Professional Massage Therapy Training Program in May 2006. In August 2006 Tom joined the faculty of the GTCC Massage Program as an instructor in Anatomy & Physiology and Musculoskeletal.
